XphaN
I have a problem I agonize for some time to resolve. I'm using:uTorrent 1.8.2Windows XP SP2I don't have any firewall and anti-virus program installed /or activated. Here are my connection speedshttp://www.speedtest.net/result/446579915.png DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD EXTERNALhttp://www.speedtest.net/result/446580194.png DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD INTERNI only have one torrent active in download list with 1MB/s download. If I start the rest of the seed torrents, download speed of my torrent falls very much.. so I can get only 100 KB/sI've tried to change the connection settings in uTorrent but there are no changes. Here are 2 screen shot'sFirst, 2 minutes after I added torrenthttp://ilgiardino.ro/1.jpg2 minutes after I started completed torrentshttp://ilgiardino.ro/2.jpgOn internal trackers I get full speed (like 10 MB/s)Problem is on the outside. Any idea how can I solve this?I can't find a solution to the problem for more than 2 months, I looked on the forum but I can't find any solution.Sorry for my bad english. Thanks in advance. Switeck
I know almost nothing of the uTorrent settings you're trying to use.And it seems you have a multi-tiered internet speed -- fast for local ISPs, slow for anything else. This makes setting uTorrent to a fixed upload speed almost impossible. XphaN
My settings are default for 100 MbpsConnections per torrent: 125Global: 1000Max active torrents: 25Max active downloads: 25Upload Slots: 50IP: 86.104.193.24Port: 57116DHT: DisabledProtocol Encryption: DisabledTCPIP.sys: 100 half-open connectionsnet.max_halfopen *
Switeck
According to your screenshot, you don't even have 100 megabit/sec upload bandwidth internally. So why are you using values that high?"net.max_halfopen *90"Perhaps a bit high if uTorrent gets the green light. It's recommended not to set net.max_halfopen higher than 80% max limit...and really anything over 50 is insane even for extremely fast lines. XphaN
I set Automatic maximum upload speed ON. And all are fine. But how I can change this setting to set my maximum upload speed every X seconds after checking maximum downloading speeds of peers? Thanks. Switeck
There are advanced settings in uTorrent for how automatic upload limit is set...and I'm not good enough with them to tell you how best to configure it!Your problem of internal vs external speeds means you almost need to know in advance where you're downloading from to know what speeds you're going to get.Even uTP in v1.8.3 betas and v1.9 alphas probably wouldn't help. If you knew which ip ranges were internal, you could run multiple copies of uTorrent with different ipfilter.dat masks to give slow speeds to external and high speeds to internal peers+seeds. XphaN
But I can use one copy of uTorrent for external tracker and another one for internal tracker.
Switeck
Yes, that can work too...even with both running at the same time.Do note that you don't seem to have a 100 megabit/second UPLOAD speed even for internal (to your ISP/country) connections.
