Smarter add torrent?

If 'Put new downloads in:' and 'Move completed downloads to:' folders are used, µTorrent should check both folders when adding torrents so seeding or downloading could start 'automagically'

For seeding files not in 'Move completed downloads to...' folder, 'Add torrent (no default save)' can be used.

Are you getting the second .torrent file from elsewhere?

Depending on where the .torrent file was created, I often have this "problem". Even if the directories and files have the same name, if a single bit is changed in the torrent data then the torrent's hash changes and µTorrent will start a new download. Usually when I start a torrent to seed on another site when I've got it elsewhere, it checks and gets to about 99% complete and re-downloads the last 1% or so (because sites often add their own .nfos, or an extra line to the .nfo or something which means i have to redownload a piece).

Nope, it's the same torrent file from my hdd. If the new downloads folder and completed folder is the same, µTorrent automatically recheck the files. If the folders are different, I need to point µTorrent to the saved file to start a recheck.

But according to HyToFry, µTorrent will prompt if the files are already in the completed downloads folder. Can you clarify?
