Ghost21
If 'Put new downloads in:' and 'Move completed downloads to:' folders are used, µTorrent should check both folders when adding torrents so seeding or downloading could start 'automagically' :wink:For seeding files not in 'Move completed downloads to...' folder, 'Add torrent (no default save)' can be used. kokoko3k
(little ot)i would like to create torrents by simply drag files/folders into utorrent window XD
LighTer
this can't ever happen... (unless for DHT only)you need the torrent files, then you must hash check. good idea for p2p programs liek limewire and kazaa, but not for torrent. Ghost21
I know that a hashcheck is needed before seeding. My idea is simply to make it automatic without having to point to the completed torrents folder when adding a torrent to seed.
HyToFry
Doesn't it already do that?I get the message "this item already exists in the completed directory would you like to use that data" all the time when I add a torrent which is already completed.Woah, run-on sentence. Ghost21
Strange.. Mine doesn't.. It will just start downloading the file. Are you using the same folder for new downloads and completed downloads?
splintax
Are you getting the second .torrent file from elsewhere?Depending on where the .torrent file was created, I often have this "problem". Even if the directories and files have the same name, if a single bit is changed in the torrent data then the torrent's hash changes and µTorrent will start a new download. Usually when I start a torrent to seed on another site when I've got it elsewhere, it checks and gets to about 99% complete and re-downloads the last 1% or so (because sites often add their own .nfos, or an extra line to the .nfo or something which means i have to redownload a piece). Ghost21
Nope, it's the same torrent file from my hdd. If the new downloads folder and completed folder is the same, µTorrent automatically recheck the files. If the folders are different, I need to point µTorrent to the saved file to start a recheck. But according to HyToFry, µTorrent will prompt if the files are already in the completed downloads folder. Can you clarify?
