McoreD Posted September 30, 2007 Report Posted September 30, 2007 ++1 for me too. Azureus already does this so it would be great to have it in µTorrent.
Korrd Posted October 1, 2007 Report Posted October 1, 2007 As with uKid, I visited the forum just to look into this feature, so +1 for me.Specifically, these are the options I'm interested in:- actual bandwidth limit per torrent (example: all "xyz" torrents limited to 10k/s each) - actual bandwidth limit per label (example: "xyz" torrents limited to 100k/s combined) - relative bandwidth limit per label (example: "xyz" torrents limited to 50% of available bandwidth, as determined by Connection settings) - bandwidth priority per label - seeding limit per label (example: "xyz" torrents seed until 1:1 or 72 hours)Of course, these can all be changed on a per-torrent basis when the default label rules don't apply.
hagglelad Posted January 7, 2008 Report Posted January 7, 2008 Hi, I have just switched from Azureus and am very satisfied, thank you. I came to the forum to request the following and found this thread (I appreciate this has probably already been requested but just wanted to clarify and this is why I didn't start a new thread): I would like to see Auto Labelling when using the auto torrent load feature e.g.:so "X:\uTorrent\autoLoad\Music" would auto start torrent and label "Music"and "X:\uTorrent\autoLoad\Video" would auto start torrent and label "Video"whilst downloading files would download to "X:\uTorrent\activeDownloads\???"then completed downloads would be moved to a location that you can specify per label , so e.g. I could specify "\\somepc\d$\music" for "Music" labelled files and "\\someotherpc\e$\video" for video labelled files etc etc. Thanks to anyone who's contributed to uTorrent, its an excellent program and I'm loving the WebUI!
Uninstall Posted May 9, 2008 Report Posted May 9, 2008 hy, i would like this feature also!would improve a lot user's experience if they can adjust download, upload bandwich features based on the label of the torrent!or else, alternatively it could be created a new feature like categories! tnks
StainlessInoxx Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 +1 for me too! I registered to the forums especially to post something like this.Historical respect must be given to this post about it.Mention of the competition is relevant. This thread is well-documented for implementation, I'm curious to know what the admins think about it...
DreadWingKnight Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 This request is 2 years old and it hasn't been implemented yet.Take a guess.Low priority at best.
Erfa Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 I really don't get why everyone wants to do this with labels. Most people here seem to want to be able to set a priority on different trackers, and why would you distinguish trackers with different labels? The torrents obviously already have trackers connected to them.Don't get my wrong, this would be a great feature for labels as well, I just think it seems like tracker prioritization is the feature you're looking for.
jewelisheaven Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 It's not priority which would be awesome.. it's default queue rules
DreadWingKnight Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 IF you think it's there, check the changelog. If it's not in the changelog, it's not there. There's a feature-freeze for 1.8 as well.
aleg Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 +1I would like to support this request. It would help me a lot in automating seeding priorities.
nimnimnim Posted December 8, 2008 Report Posted December 8, 2008 +1 forsomething like this, allowing you to:have multiple queues (either simple shuffling of #1a #1b #2a #2b... or parallel)(and options per queue/label.)different number of download slots per label/queue would be good way for me.need case:I have something like 500+ torrents (daily radio shows etc) constantly and it'd be tough to shuffle them up for just the right order manually, and then maintaining that.I always add torrents at the top because of this... but either end you add them, it's alot of manual work that would just go away with multiple queues/slots per label.
realish Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Would like to revive this request.Right now UT can move finished downloads to a subfolder, based on a label. What I'd like is the ability to move it to an entirely different folder, or even a different drive, based on labels. I keep my music on one external drive, videos on another, etc. Also, for some trackers I seed until 200% ratio and then stop. For others I seed basically forever. Would love to be able to attach that rule to labels as well, to avoid the tedious extra step with every download. Thanks!
Toryu Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 It would be great to be able to make rules similar to what MS Outlook has, like 'if a emailadres contains ... move it to a certain folder. In µtorrent it would make it possible to:-automatically assign labels-move completed downloads to a certain folder-change bandwidth allocation-....All based on torrentname, label, autoload folder, tracker, torrent size, ratio, feed, etc.So for example:If torrentname contains 'Lost' give label 'TV Show'OrIf label is 'Movies' move completed downloads to <folder>
n0thng2bdone Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 would like more label features.especially Max Active Torrents per labelthat way I can say, 10 Total Torrent Max, 1 active per label, so it will automatically seed the single weakest torrent in each category, no more, no less
nojatron Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 Also registered to show my interest.I'd like to have a way to set different schedules for each label (start and stop at certain times or limit upload and dowload) and set different seed while options.
KPerro Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 I joined as well to express my need in this option
gabber Posted October 18, 2009 Report Posted October 18, 2009 Same here, would be very nice to have label-specific rules like "seed while", "priority", "bandwith allocation" and much more.+1 for this feature
shreaded_teddy Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 the option to give seeding priority to different labels would be great. i'd definitely use that to set the private trackers to seed first.
campalot Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 I registered just to request for the exact same feature, missed this post and mine got moved to trash...I want this!
korisu Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 I just posted a new thread requesting about the same (plus the ability to assign labels through the WebUI). Agreed with hagglelad, realish and Toryu - specific download folders per label would be phenomenal.
fwscc Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 Ah! I see there's a request partially quite similar to my need.I want to endorse the request for Label rules as well.Let's me restate my post here.I want to be able to 'right click' on the main window and have a menuto create a special queue [it can be Label] then name it. (it may be better if this queue is acted like force start)When I add a new torrent I can 'right click' on the torrent in main windowand have an option to send it to the special queue [The Label] I created. So in this queue torrents will be downloaded one by one and don't take over other download slotI have left, in this case I set global active download to 3so I should have 2 left for any other new torrent I'm going to add.
bobbyt1 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 +1 here, I am looking for this feature also.
