iNvidious01
I would appreciate any advice.* 20mb download speed and 0.7mb upload* ISP doesnt throttle traffic* Ports forwarded* uTorrent options customised* Windows tweaked for speedIf if i download a file off megaupload i get a consistent rate of 2000kb/s, rising to 2400 sometimes using a download manager. My connection is wireless N wi-fi.When i was downloading a well seeded file with 40 seeds connected i only got 180-250kb/s.Previously, the highest my torrent speed spiked was 800kb/s. How can i keep that speed up?And what should my optimal uTorrent settings be? e.g. max connections, upload slots.
hermanm
There's not much you can do. Unless you can connect to peers that have high speed uploads, you're not going to realize speeds to match your megaupload rates.

Switeck
640 or 700 kilobit/sec from my speed chart (2nd link in my signature.)(These settings are similar but not quite identical to the ones found in uTorrent's Speed Guide CTRL+G.) gigabitFTW
Join a private tracker to get better speeds. Most users use seedboxes and dedicated servers to upload content, unlike home users with their limited upload bandwidth. I easily hit 2.4MB/sec download from home and have achieved over 50MB/sec download many times on my dedicated servers.
Switeck
With a 20/0.7 DL/UL line, you can still easily run 3-5 torrents at once while still uploading a decent amount (13 KB/sec) to each. So if one torrent's slow, start 2-4 more! And when you're not downloading, you can continue seeding any torrent that's lacking seeds. You'll probably end up with >1:1 ratio with such a line unless you're aggressively downloading stuff daily.Private torrents are NOT the solution to a single slow torrent.
