rcmx
i used one of the guides found here to setup my settings to my connection speedshere is my speed; just in case anyone needs iti am still only reaching an average of 20 kb/s.. thats if im lucky.. sometimes it goes down to around 5 kb/s...when i first started the torrent, i got speeds up to ~100 kb/s. Now i dont know whats wrong! my port is open, and im uploading at 50 kb/s. whats going on?! sould i lower my uploading limit? and 2, the availability goes from .661 (actually the very first time its gone this low, just now) to 3.9~will the torrent finish if its around ~2.5?also, on the peers tab, is the "down speed" how fast im dloading off that specific peer?same for the "up speed"and what does "Reqs" mean? Thanks and please forgive my ignorance
Switeck
With 637 kilobits/sec available upload bandwidth, you should be able to upload over 60 KiloBYTES/second. So 50 KB/sec should be fine.Availability of .661 means only 66.1% of the total torrent is available, COUNTING what you already have! Sounds like you're seeing seeds+peers disconnect often if the availability is jumping around alot. Most if not all this is in the documentation/FAQ/guides on the website. (links above!)Yes, "down speed" next to an ip address = how fast you're downloading from that particular peer/seed. Same with "up speed" = how fast you're uploading to that peer.Reqs = 16 KB chunk requests. The 1st number before the | is how many 16 KB chunks you're requesting to download immediately from that peer/seed. The 2nd number after the | is how many 16 KB chunks that peer is requesting to download from you (your upload.)
rcmx
alright, thanksand also, the speed varies JUST on the torrent seeders right?cuz i used some guide found on here and i reached around 350kb/s
Switeck
If the peers are fast, you may not need ANY seeds. If the torrent has lots of peers+seeds, but they're all on hostile ISPs...your speeds will be terrible. If the torrent only has 3-5 fast peers+seeds, your speed may be pretty good. rcmx
no.. on the test torrents i got like 400~ kb/sshouldnt i get better dload speeds tho?and also, the availability is now 3.9 :]i think im being leeched off..
Switeck
You shouldn't be getting 400 KiloBYTES/second download from a <3 megabit/sec download line.
