tedvarga
Here are the results from my speed tests. My max DL rate in uTorrent is set for 5000K, I only get DLs of about 315 kB/s from Slackware with bursts to about 550 kBps. I am lucky to see 75 kBps total from other Torrent DL's.Any help getting my DL's past the ETAs of 1 week would be greatly appreciated and YES I did read and use the lines in your signature.ThanksTedDownload Test A at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Dallas, TxTest 114420kbpsTest 217319 kbpsTest 318114 kbpsDownload Test B at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Atlanta, GaTest 117195 kbpsTest 215574 kbpsTest 316348 kbpsDownload Test C at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Seattle, WaTest 117935 kbpsTest 219704 kbpsTest 33635 kbps:::.. Switeck
Your numbers are all across-the-board and don't seem right, especially the last:Test 33635 kbpsIn any case, max DL rate in uTorrent should NOT be set to 5000 KB/sec -- even your MOST optimistic test suggests less than 2500 KB/sec. I'd say even 2000 KB/sec DL tops...and that's assuming your speed tests weren't almost entirely burst speeds rather than sustained speeds. On "regular" torrents that are not heavily overseeded, your download speed may often be pretty close to your upload speed.
