Parallel9
I downloaded BitTorrent a few days ago and have only downloaded 3 sets of files (torrents I guess). The day after I DL'd BitTorrent my MS Security Center tells me my AV program is not turned on. I have the TrendMicro's PC-Cillin Internet Security 14 for Dell. I can't turn it on regularly and it says " A previous instance is still exiting. Try again in a few moments or something." I already uninstalled BT from my comp, that didnt work. I restored my comp to a day or two before I installed BT, didnt work. Now, either BT came pre packed with something to screw my AV over with or something came with 1 of 3 popularly well reviewed torrents I downloaded? . . . I am NOT ultra computer savvy so this is a problem being as how this is my parents comp and they will go nuts if they find out. If anyone has heard of a problem like this any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
moogly
Weird. I think it's an issue with your security suite PCCIS, not uT.Torrents can be a problem if what you have downloaded is a virus/troyan (many of them attempt to disable the AV) but certainly not the bittorrent client itself.Try to reinstall your AV and check exceptions about uT are present in it.Then don't download suspicious torrents like cracked softwares etc that are a possible source of viruses or malwares.
