Disabled: does not encrypt outgoing connections, but will accept encrypted incoming connections

Enabled (Handshake only): Allows the use of PE and attempts to use it for encrypting the packet headers, falls back to normal if encrypted fails

Enabled (All traffic): Allows the use of PE and attempts to use it to encrypt ALL the data and headers, falls back to normal if encrypted fails

Force Encryption (Handshake only): Forces encryption of the packet headers and does not fall back to normal if it fails

Force Encryption (All traffic): Forces encryption of ALL traffic and does not fall back to normal if it fails

Force Legacy Mode (bad idea): doesn't allow encrypted connections at all

legacy connections are allowed in ALL modes, even Force Encryption. "Allow legacy incoming connections" enables/disables this.

So far I noticed my upload speeds drop using either peer exchange and/or Protocol Encryption on a private tracker. I would only need protocol encryption for uploading my own torrents anyway so if this is a permanent side effect it's ok with me.

I found some pages containing information about Peer Exchange, but I still haven't got the hang of it. Should I turn this on? Why is it disabled by default?
private flag disables PEX and DHT, which is the same behavior that Az and BC have.

And I don't get your second question?

I'm sorry to insist, but I could I get a quick attention to my question too? 12.gif

IDoSI: You can turn it on, and I think it was turned off by default by mistake.

dAbReAkA: Legacy mode turns off encryption completely and REFUSES incoming encrypted connections.

jroc: probably Disabled for now, unless you're explicitly testing the encryption.

One possible bug that I've found in this build and the one previous was if you select "Activate window when adding file" it does not work. Specifically, clicking on a torrent to download and open I would expect uTorrent to pop up in front of all other applications. Instead, what happens is that it just flashes in the taskbar (even if it was minimized to tray) but doesn't come out in front of all other windows. Maybe I have the options set wrong though so that it's conflicting with something else.
