robbiethief
I use 1.8.2My connection speed is 2MBPS, seetings 2Mbit/xx, with an max upload speed of 60-65kbps.I tried uploading torrents, well was successful, but i do have these queries:I uploaded 5-10 torrents at a time, small files 10-50 Mb to larger one of 600 Mb.Now i do know that the torrent created by µ itself creates number of pieces & etc..I'd like to know if a torrent is being uploaded (initial seeding), does the client which is connected toother peers gives different pieces to different peers connected or the same pieces of files to all connectedat that point of time? Also to mention, if the initial seeding box is checked in the torrents properties, the upload speed drops down toa meare 1/5 of the actuall speed.i'd like to know how to boost up upload speeds.ThnxRobbie. Switeck
If you're only seeing 60-65 KB/sec upload speeds...you don't have xx/2Mbit in Speed Guide! You probably should use xx/640k (640 kilobit/sec upload settings.) Initial seeding doesn't work very well, it pretty much requires you to be the 1st and only seed AND for there to be at least 3 peers (preferably more than 5 peers) to work...and even then it's SLOW! DreadWingKnight
as i was told by my ISP that i have a 2mbps connection i chose the setting XX/2mbit.. will check again. That's for the DOWNLOAD speed where the speed guide settings are for the UPLOAD speed. Switeck
As far as upload is concerned, you don't have a 2 megabit/sec connection.Your ISP is only referring to your DOWNLOAD as being 2 megabit/sec.
robbiethief
Irrespective of what settings i chose, be it xx/640 or any other (tried all)... the upload speed is stand still at 60-65kbps( the max). More frustration occurs when the speed drops drastically low when the intial seeding is checked in the torrent properties.( i use intial seeding as i upload 5-10 torrents a day(1seed,45+peers approx on all new torrents), file size varies, so if i dont use intial seeding, the smaller file uses up all the bandwidth leaving the larger files incomplete as i can seed only for 6 hours a day!) Switeck
I can't help you really with initial seeding...it's just unreliable.
