Ever since SP2, my PC also will not make popups disappear properly (like for instance if you install a new piece of hardware, a little popup will show you that it's installed and ready to use). It didn't happen in other versions.I still tend to think that it is an XP problem not handling things correctly (something similar to tooltips appearing behind the taskbar, or tooltips sticking around after you move your mouse away, etc). Firon Posted October 15, 2005 Report Share Posted October 15, 2005 A temporary "fix" to get rid of the menu is left click on the menu, hold and drag your pointer somewhere off it, then let go. I've had it happen with a LOT of programs too, I guess you need some extra code in the popup menu to make it disappear when it loses focus?
