Hi!

This is my problem:

I was downloading a 20 gb file with bittorrent 6.1.1 and all went fine, download speed was ok for me and in 1 day or more I would have the file downloaded. But today I opened the bittorrent window and it poped-up asking if I would like to update to 6.1.2, a question that I used to answer negatively before, and accepted (and I dont know why today I accepted to update it, really). The fact is that now all my current torrents seem to simply not download, no seeds, no peers, no down or up speed, availability in my most wanted torrent (the 20 gb one) has decreased from 1.0 plus to 0.666 without a reasonable logic (download is at 66.7 percent)... It seems like if it wouldnt ever connect, but the question is to know why it doesnt (if that's the problem), and as I'm not a computer expert I can't know it without some little help. I wondered that I possibly could make it work by changing something in preferences, but I don't know where's the problem!

Also, I tried to find a post similar to what I undergo but I didnt find anything.

Help please!

Thanks in advance

Well, I've checked Windows Defender and it doesnt seem to have any important rule, it just gives information and the option of blocking the program's connection, which I think it's ok there.

Also I tried to run Norton Antivirus but it doesnt start xD I dont know why, maybe I erased the files long time ago.

And then I checked Windows Firewall, and Bittorrent seems to be ok in exceptions: There are two BitTorrent options to tick as exceptions to the Firewall, "BitTorrent (TCP-In)" and "BitTorrent (UDP-In)", and they are both ticked. There are "btdna.exe" and "DNA" also ticked.

And in Vista's "Windows Security Center" (I don't know if it's translated right, my PC's in spanish), where you can see "Windows Update", "Windows Firewall", "Windows Defender", and "Internet Options" all together, I finally thought that it could be something in "Internet Options", but now Im not so sure.

Then, I also think it has to be an another program's constraint what is happening to BitTorrent, but where?

Ok...

Maybe something with the advanced preferences in bittorrent? There are lots of parameters and I dont know if they are all correct...

Someone will have the clue!

EDIT:

Something new: In "Tracker Status" it says something like (translated from spanish) "Can't establish a connexion since the destination computer expressly turned down such connexion"... WHY???!!! Oh, and it happens to every torrent.

I understand that, but I dont know how to do it... Let me see if I can discover something around Windows Firewall options and Windows Defender, because Norton Antivirus is really broken. Where should I look if those don't tell me anything?

EDIT: (Uninstalling Norton Antivirus, it doesn't work, maybe if the rules were from this program they will be erased with it)

2nd and last EDIT: Haha it seems that uninstalling Norton Antivirus was the rightest thing to do... Problem solved! Now I can continue downloading and everything is fine! DreadWingKnight thank you so much for the info about those "rules", you made me think to uninstall Norton and that was it!

See you when bittorrent gives me more problems!
