Have seeded file but download not happening

Hi

I have just started with this utorrent and so am very new to this.

I have now worked out to upload a file is which it then said to 'seed' it - luckily had a 'click here' to do that

now the file (5.7mb) is 100% seeded in utorrent, the download seems to be wanting to commence.

But the download has a status of "downloading" but the "done" is staying at 0% (zero) - after 45minutes!

What am I missing or what else do I need to do for it start downloading?

I have check through the faq's and searched other posts but can not find anything relating to my problem.

ok, now someone has said that the "downloading" is suppose to be zero....true/false?

You made a torrent and are expecting it to download a file that is already on your computer?

well that answer makes sense.

If you are going make a comment, how about putting some help with it or suggestions.

If what I have done is incorrect, what about advising what i may have done wrong.

(and don't put this in the 'trash' section like the other post i did in making a suggestion - hell, i hope you don't do that to everyone that needs help etc - because you think it is wrong)

Making a torrent then expecting it to download when it loads in uTorrent in a "Seeding" state (a state that will ONLY upload) is not exactly expecting things to behave as designed.

If you want something to download, you need to get someone else's torrent, not make your own.

you know, if you read the original post and helped there, maybe I would think you might be able to help.

1) I am new to this

2) questions about downloading / uploading - percentage etc and what it means or shouldn't/should be doing.

3) downloading in a 'seeded' state - what you probably did was xxxxxx and should have done xxxxxx

anyway I seem to have got it working via help from my community net/isp - more than i can say for uTorrent forum or even the PSA forum.

I'll be blunt.

The documentation section of the site covered the questions you had, but the fact that you asked them, and the way that you asked them (as well as your response to my initial response), indicates to me that you didn't even bother taking a quick glance through them, let alone go over them with enough detail to have your questions answered before you even made a post.

And people wonder why my attitude is the way it is.
