Switeck I will check the links you have given thanks.

I have installed "MakeTorrent v2.1" but still can't get the hang of uploading a torrent on the instructions on FAQ it say's [however, torrent communities have sprouted which take care of many of the details of running a tracker]

so do I need one (tracker) if so how do you get one? The same applies to a web server do I need and if so how do I get one?

I have d/l about 1GB and u/l zero I feel guilty! Why can't uploading process be simplified??

Thanks I opened the new torrent page OK, will work through the rest

Famous last words eh! btw I also found on BitTorrents.

I get the window Create a new torrent then Select Source > add file > I chose the file [in this case flute concertos-Vivaldi Stamitz] this then goes to the folder > I click open, it then shows all 9 tracks. This is where I get lost, in the new window 'select a file' I can not select all ?? But on the lower right of window is a button ( all files) which does not seem to do any thing for me so I select 1 file only, I am now taken back to the "create a new torrent " window >save . Repeat for track 2 . Now in the main torrent window I have the 2 tracks the 1st shows -seeding the 2nd shows seeding

Each shows 100% highlighted. On the speed bar at the bottom I have selected upload.

Nothing happens, also I have not added any typed info for torrent as there was not a window to use, I am not stupid but also am not a computer nerd so why is it so difficult?? The instructions are any thing but clear, like all things "its easy when you know how" very frustrated.

Further developments : I have had a modicum of success, I chose a piece in 1 longish mov and created a torrent, I then got as far as uploading to site but it would not u/l until seeded, how [in simple terms] do I seed a torrent?
