mrblinder
Using version 1.8.2 on vista home premium.Download is using maximum bandwidth, but the actual download takes much longer (about 5 -10 times more) than indicated by the ETA.There doesn't appear to be any cache overload.Any ideas? Thanks
jewelisheaven
Is it downloading consistently? Is it an initial-seeder pumping out data to lots of people at once? How large using real math do you calculate it would take to finish? The ETA listed is based upon a sliding average of your download speed gauged against completion % and availability. mrblinder
the "Peers" window usually shows that I'm downloading from one seeder at maximum speed, while downloading from 3-4 other peers at negligible speeds. This one seeder's status constantly changes from D to d, indicating "choking". The ETA makes sense if the speed were really true, however it seems like the choke creates an illusion of downloading at full speed, while in reality the speed is slower... jewelisheaven
I must say, a picture and ideally the torrent if possible would help. This happens on all torrents? Can you try http://slackware.com/torrents/ please
