jewelisheaven
Right, so, if you want to give any information mentioned in the sticky (linked in my sig below as Read Me)... You have 2 Mbit down connection great! Can you hit 200 KiBps in uT on a test torrent, http://slackware.com/torrents/ ? What ISP are you on.. can you link to a http://speedtest.net graphic/profile test? You using any software / hardware traffic shaping? Many questions, minimal information :/

jewelisheaven
OK, well Virgin.. and others in your country have a knack for sometimes pushing shaping hardcore during daylight hours. If you could test ONE of your other torrents throughout the day, and stop it and compare it running with 5 minutes on http://slackware.com/torrents/ it may show you when you are being shaped. If you're hitting about 25% of your theoretical max (240)... see if it magically increases after 8p, 10p, 12a, 2a, etc :/ You'll need to scale the uT Speed tab to 5 minutes to see 10 hours of data. And then you can check it in the morning and see what happened overnight. Of course you may need to use the Scheduler if you're on a quota limit. And even then maybe download the DVD image since it is larger.
Switeck
Virgin sucks for more reasons than just throttling BitTorrent:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=53050http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/12/16/virgin_bittorrent/page2.html"Berkett was clear...part of a broader strategy to "monetise the intelligence" in the Virgin Media network". And worse: "....said the firm intends to lead the ISP industry in new network services that exploit customer data"There point emphasized for shock value. And they said that up front as though it's something to be PROUD about!
