mr.ianwilson
I can download at home but am struggling to get things going at work. The first problem seems to simply be getting the port to open.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Ian
jewelisheaven
You don't need to have an open port to torrent, but if there is no way to UPnP or NAT-PMP your way through the firewall maybe you should take it easy, use the scheduler, and don't dominate the connection
mr.ianwilson
Thanks jewelisheaven. Under the download status I get HTTP Error 503?I also read DHT: Waiting to log in.Not sure what this means but I suspect there's something obvious I 'm missing to get things started? jewelisheaven
Service unavailable... you tried http://slackware.com/torrents/ That will tell you whether the site is down or whether it's a site-wide enforcement at your work. After that, go through http://utorrent.com/documentation/ Or use selective settings from Switeck at maybe 50% of your rated upload speed. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=34259
