mazze
Hey I've got a question... I heard someting about a hashcode that every provider gives to his users. Does utorrent use this Hashcode and send it to a tracker if you connect to it?? what information can a tracker get about an user (from utorrent).thx
jewelisheaven
uTorrent has a PEER ID. Usually identifier tag, plus (random) characters to create a unique signature so you can be you, on the tracker (if you have an account or need "registration"). You send more data every announce, if you need peers and/or to submit transfer statistics.Dunno about the provider hashcode you mention but uTorrent doesn't use any external source to identify you. mazze
is it possible to indentify a computer about the PEER ID? so if i Download something on a tracker the tracker gets a PEER ID from me... if i download something (same Computer and same internet account) a few days later, is the ID still the same? Ultima
Are you referring to... tracker passkeys or something? If so, then as long as the tracker correctly appends your passkey to the torrent announce URLs, then yes, it'll work fine with µTorrent.
