1_4_All
So I go to a university that strictly limits p2p on its wireless. Is there any procedure which I can use to make it so they can't monitor me/block me? Granted I know very little about the p2p process, or the way in which they block my WLAN connection. I know the easiest route would be just to not run uTorrent while I'm there, but that is a HUGE portion of time.Any suggestions/ further information? jewelisheaven
If there is a policy in-place barring usage of p2p...Granted it is a drag when you are stuck all-day and want to do things. Is there a way they can't monitor you... well it's on their pipes so whatever they use on the network will always be able to identify you especially if you "registered" your computer to be put on the LAN or as part of the resnet. If they give you internet, they don't block the connection, it's more like blocking specific ports people use, or blocking specific activities. You tried http://slackware.com/torrents/ to see how fast the connection works and enforce bandwidth parameters like 150 KiBps down and 15 KiBps up?
