redroxo Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 I am really stuck on this one and a forum search had little to offer me. I don't think the USB drivers are my problem in this case.uTorrent is giving the error "Error: Incorrect Function." on some (but not all) torrents. It usually occurs after a torrent has already downloaded a portion of the file. After this error occurs, it continues to appear when I try to start the torrent again. Even if I delete both the torrent and the data, or completely uninstall and reinstall the program (including the %appdata% files), the torrent will never continue to download again. All port forwarding, ip addresses, etc are properly configured and remain unchanged from previously working settings. The only thing uTorrent's logger shows is "Error opening "/file name/":" All file paths are valid, and there is plenty of space on the drive it downloads to. The hard drive in question has been fully checked for errors. Here is my Hijackthis log:Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2Scan saved at 1:13:56 AM, on 5/13/2009Platform: Windows Vista SP1 (WinNT 6.00.1905)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6001.18226)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\Program Files (x86)\RocketDock\RocketDock.exeC:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - jewelisheaven Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Don't know if it's directly related, but there are problems with Nvidia's Forceware Network Access Manager (it's a software firewall).. You can uninstall the whole thing, or turn off "First Packet" option...Otherwise a pretty clean log :/
redroxo Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 Thanks for the reply. I uninstalled the nvidia network manager but unfourtunately, no change. I just tried a few new torrents and it seems that i get this error on everything now except the things that i am seeding already.
jewelisheaven Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Where are you trying to save the files to? Is it an external? Or a place where you need Admin rights.. is the drive NTFS or FAT32?
redroxo Posted May 13, 2009 Author Report Posted May 13, 2009 I am saving it to a NTFS formatted internal sata hard drive.
jewelisheaven Posted May 13, 2009 Report Posted May 13, 2009 Where are you saving to? Did you set the paths yourself under Ctrl-P > Directories? Can you try with the simple CD ISO @ http://slackware.com/torrents/ any of them will do. How long into the download does it stall? Is the location in Preferences > Directories where you see it saving to under the General tab > Save As
