hawtpawkithero Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I've recently purchased an NAS for my network, 3tb of space total. I'm attempting to have uTorrent save all of my downloads in the NAS (mapped to letter drive). If I ever at one time have more than one torrent downloading at one time, I get the element missing error on one of the downloads. If I have other torrent software downloading/saving torrents to the NAS alongside uTorrent, I don't get any problems. The problem only arises when I download more than one torrent with uTorrent at once. I can leave torrents queued in uTorrent as well.Does anybody have a clue on how to fix this error? Thanks!
jewelisheaven Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 The problem seems to depend on 1) the manufacturer of the NAS and 2) your diskio.coalesce_write_size value . . searching may give you other examples if you don't want to be led step by step. Did you search for your NAS make/model on here already?
hawtpawkithero Posted May 29, 2009 Author Report Posted May 29, 2009 I have, and I haven't found anything.I'm using a d-link dns-321.What do you think I should set my coalesce_write_size value to?It is currently set to 2097152
jewelisheaven Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 ... depends :/ usually you divide by 2 until it stops happening.Searching for LargeSystemCache or NAS brought these up: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=57801 http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=44437
