auriuman78 Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 Platform Windows 7. µTorrent 1.8.2. Getting error message when downloading torrents containing files < 10Mb in size. For some reason it appears that it only happens when uTorrent attempts to make outgoing connections for uploading. As soon as the torrent begins uploading the error happens. Just restarting the torrent corrects it for a couple more minutes until an u/l connection occurs... then whammo.I have already disabled all the advanced features of the client as well as disabling sharing in the OS. I've also disabled monitoring of my download folders by antivirus and windows indexing service. No luck.Until a more appropriate fix is available, is there a way to disable uploads per torrent? I am open to other suggestions as well...EDIT: OK, I just found a previous posting referring to antivirus and firewall software being the cause of this? Well, I can confirm I am not running any type of firewall at all, not even windows native. My antivirus is now configured to only scan on demand. Error still occurs. For me this happens at best around a minute or two after d/l begins. ANNOYING and time consuming. I have to babysit these particular downloads. jewelisheaven Posted May 30, 2009 Report Share Posted May 30, 2009 Turn off/Uninstall AVG.You didn't select utorrent.exe before you made the Process Explorer list. When you select it press Ctrl-D, then Ctrl-A so you 1) know uT was selected 2) it will show the DLLs when pasted Searching for user-mapped section brought up http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=58117 among other things. Not sure which one it was but one of them worked. 1) I disabled windows indexer service on the µTorrent directories2) I unchecked "Disable Windows caching of disk writes" under Options-Advanced-Disk Cache.Since both of these actions I have not had this problem any more.
