bluestar2009
Hi there,Please help me. I have just moved to a new house and chaned internet connection from ADSL to optical fiber. Provider/ISP are same. There is a new router. Here is my corrent setup- my pc has a static IP 192.168.1.100- Router firewall is completly disabled this static IP- I can check any port and it is open- i have forwarded port 55642 to my static IP- my utorrent is set to port 55642DHT is enabled and shows logged on, outbound encryption is enabled, upload speed is set to 22kbps although running speed test i can download at ~7000kbps/upload at 3000kbps. I have tried higher values with no luck.So whenever I load a new torrent, it just says either of the two- connection closed by peer- No connection could be made because target machine actively refused itand I cant connect or download. I left it as such for sometime and now seems like one torrent iw working even though it says 'connection closed by peer' but no luck for anything else. Can someone please help ? i have tried everything I could, this is very frustrating ....One more thing on DHT - what does it mean when the trakcer property shows this ? torrent does not seem to connect in this caseName Status Update In Seeds Peers Downloaded [DHT] not allowed 0 0 0 [Local Peer Discovery] not allowed 0 0 0 [Peer Exchange] not allowed 0 0 0 http://www.idesir.com:2710/PASSKEY/announce connection closed by peer 35s 0 0 0 however another one seems to be in better shape and is able to downloadName Status Update In Seeds Peers Downloaded [DHT] working [Local Peer Discovery] working [Peer Exchange] working http://tracker.desitorrents.com:6969//PASSKEY/announce connection closed by peer
Switeck
Private torrents don't allow DHT, LPD, or Peer Exchange. Not being able to connect to a tracker could be a firewall issue.Do the test torrents (mentioned in 1st link of my signature) work? bluestar2009
Hi switeckI think I can connect to the tracker, something else stops me after that. For example I just went to the first link in ur signature->setup guide and then test torrent slackware. Here is what I getName Status Update In Seeds Peers Downloaded [DHT] announcing... 0 31 0 [Local Peer Discovery] working 0 1 0 [Peer Exchange] working 0 0 0 http://tracker3.transamrit.net:8082//PASSKEY No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. 1s 0 0 0 which later changed to Name Status Update In Seeds Peers Downloaded [DHT] working [Local Peer Discovery] working [Peer Exchange] working http://tracker1.transamrit.net:8082//PASSKEYconnection closed by peerMy utorrent shows green light at the bottom and any port i try via webbased utorrent port checker shows OK/opened so I guess I dont have firewall problem ? Firon
Seems like you have a software firewall blocking your torrents.... unless your ISP blocks trackers.
