torrentdemon
Help with port-forwarding ---> http://portforward.com/BTW, the need to have a green icon in the status bar in uTorrent is highly over-rated IMO. A few days ago for example, my icon was red (yes red, saying "NOT connectible") but my d/l was still flying as fast as my connection allows. But yeah if you're sure that the problem is stemming from this, then its better to forward ports and get the green icon.
Switeck
While at http://portforward.com/ ROUTERS section, look to see if your modem is ALSO on their list. If so, it too needs to be configured or it WILL block uTorrent. Even once you get unfirewalled, many seeds could still be unreachable -- having gone offline shortly after contacting the tracker one last time OR they've already reached max connections and are not accepting any more until one or more disconnect.
