FoxRaweln Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 I just created a torrent for a very big file and wanted to boost my upload limit so I could seed better. How do I do it?I already chose 60000 kb/s for the upload limit, instead of unlimited, because 60000 looks bigger than the infinite. Is there anything else I can do?
Firon Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Uh, that's not going to do anything. Your limit is your internet connection. If you want more upload, pay your ISP for a better plan with more upload.
FoxRaweln Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 Yaeh, I noticed that it doesn't work, but I'm able to download at 300 kb/s and now that I'm not downloading anything I should be able to upload 300 kb/s.
Switeck Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 The VAST MAJORITY of ISPs give very little upload max and bigger download max.If you're on ADSL 2+, you CAN'T upload at 300 KiloBYTES/second!Telling uTorrent to upload faster than your line allows just causes problems.
FoxRaweln Posted June 14, 2009 Author Report Posted June 14, 2009 OK them. I guess my leeches will just have to be pacient, and so will my father when the electric power bill comes at the end of the month.
Switeck Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 If you know how much max upload you, (from speed tests and official numbers from your ISP) then you can set upload speed max in uTorrent to get close to but not over that and maximize uploaded per hour.
Rebel Piper Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Were can i find torrents from Australian bagpipebands to download this music free?I have found torrents from Scottish bands ,and also Canandian pipe bands.
Switeck Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 Rebel Piper, your post is both VERY off-topic and violates the Announcement rules above.
