hehe299792458
The speed charts looks like a view of pointy mountains than anything else. It rises rapidly, to about 2MB/s, then falls to around 100kb/s. Each cycle lasts for about 30 seconds, and then it repeats. This happened after I added a few new torrents to be downloaded. However, after I stopped these new torrents, the cycle still continued, although each cycle lasted somehwhat longer. Why would these torrents cause this, and more importantly, how can I break the cycle?
moogly
Sounds like your ISP is throttling bittorrent applications. What's your ISP?

Switeck
They do disrupt the line from time to time, more than just BitTorrent as well....least according to what I've read in the past.
hehe299792458
hmmm..... my speeds are stabilizing at arounf 1040kb/s. Even if I add new torrents which I know to be fast, the overall speed won't increase. So, it'd seem that Shaw Cable is interfering.... what can I do about it? DreadWingKnight
You're getting 10mbit. Cable is a shared system so you might be competing with neighbors for the speeds.
Switeck
Cable shares a 38 megabit/sec download channel...often shared by 100+ cablemodems/households at once.
