internal vs. external caching

Hello,

I have the mac version of uTorrent. I am sending all my downloaded data straight to my external hard drive, as it is 1TB in size and my internal is only 100gig. yesterday i had 65g left on my internal hard drive, today, i have 150meg. Can someone tell me where uTorrent is caching my files so i can delete them or how I can free up my space again? I will end up having to use something other than uTorrent if this cannot be resolved.
