Port Not Open Message - This 'MAY' help

Hi, not sure if this is posted already, but after looking around I couldn't see it mentioned in numerous threads.

I had an issue with my connection in that I was always getting the red dot (the exclamation mark). This meant that I had not forwarded the port correctly or there was an issue with forwarding of that port. What I found was that I'd had port numbers selected that were way up over 40,000 each time (but keeping under 60,000) and while I wouldn't have thought this to be an issue, it may have been.

As soon as I configured a port number under 10,000 it worked almost straight away.

So, if you are having issues with the port test coming back as not open, try changing your modem and uTorrent settings to a port under 10,000 and see if that works.
