Crashes (random, Windows 7)

Hello, Any help is appreciated.

Running a fresh copy of windows 7 rc1, uTorrent 1.8.3 and getting random crashes after a few minutes into any torrent.

It then creates a dump file and allows the option to load utorrent again. this only leads to the same error even sooner than before. If I have no torrent running the program has no problems. Different torrents have the same reaction.

I did complete scans (AVG / Spybot / msConfig) and found nothing major... and no fixes. uninstalled and reinstalled many times, no luck.

Most likely caused by nvLsp, the broken nvidia firewall. Remove something to the effect of Forceware manager.

i'm having similar issues. my motherboard is a Foxconn C51XEM2AA AM2 slot w/ nVidia 590 SLI.

i was actually having issues before i installed the forceware manager, but when i installed that thing, everything really went to hell.

my internet connection drops periodically, about every 1-2 hours, sometimes more often than that.

i'm running windows 7 rc (7100) 64-bit and thinking about reformatting and re-installing the OS to see if it solves anything. thanks for posting this.

I have the same problem. In Win 7 (7600) when I download with uTorrent, the internet connection dies.

The cause of the problem is certainly the Win 7, because it worked perfectly with XP with the same configuration (PC + rooter + net connection). I noticed that not just the uTorrent do this, BitComet too and it only happens, when I download more than 5 torrent in the same time. In Xp I could download 100 torrent simultaneously with 45 megabit/sec and there were no such problem.

I tried:

- with uTorrent 1.6, 1.7.7 and 1.8.4

- disable IPv6

- configuring my rooter (various way)

- decrease the connection numbers

- disable firewall and nod32

- configure port forwarding (the test say it's working)

So I don't have more idea. Anyone has?

I find the answer myself. Without the rooter the download works. So my rooter can't handle torrents with Windows 7. I will buy a better one (now I have az Asus RX3041).
