caspian915
Hey all,I've searched around, but most of what I have found answer troubleshooting questions, and I'm asking a more general advice question.I want to seed more, but I am definitely worried about hard drive life, esp. if I want to use utorrent while using other computer functions. Does anyone split the leech/seed functions between two different hard drives? Will this help things in the short term or long term, since the same drive doesn't have to furiously write and read at the same time? Thanks, sps
Switeck
It can certainly help if a single drive was causing Disk Overload messages in uTorrent!Beyond that, it may help slightly to prolong the life of the hard drives...as can using a larger disk cache in uTorrent. Firon
I've seen no correlation between usage and drive longevity. It's purely chance. Temperature matters more (and too low temperature kills drives MORE than higher).
