Ultima Posted June 27, 2009 Report Share Posted June 27, 2009 There is no such thing as "the" average upload/download speed. It varies from connection to connection. If your connection's download rate max is 2.5mbit/s, then that's equivalent to a theoretical maximum of 2500/8 = 312.5 KiB/s. BitTorrent is a P2P protocol, meaning you are relying on other peers' upload rates to keep your download rates afloat. As such, you'll almost never get consistent speeds.
