krave
This is the annoying red light. Excuse me,please let me introduce my lovely system first. It is a simple Lennovo notebook.OS: Windows XP 32 bit with SP3Anti-virus: Kaspersky Internet Security 2009Which is special is that I use WCDMA to surf net. One type of the famous 3G.When I use utorrent to download, I close the XP firewall and KIS 2009.But the red light is still there. The download speed is always under 20 KB/s while the upload speed can be 80 or more.I click the "Test if port forwarded properly" button. And the web shows that not OK.I also change the port to 1000(the original is 42978), the web still says no to me.Please help me to find a solution to this problem. The download speed should have been much higher than now.Even some explaination would relieve me.Is there any of you use 3G to download as me? DreadWingKnight
You are behind an ISP-enforced NAT then, you're pretty stuck.
Switeck
Teredo/IPv6 has NAT hole-punching abilities...but only a few people use that right now. Still better than nothing.uTorrent v1.8 and later also has uTP connections, which should SOON also gain NAT hole-punching abilities. This is FAR more common than Teredo/IPv6 at the moment....So things aren't all bad if you can connect to unfirewalled peers/seeds right now.You probably should limit uTorrent's settings to the 768 kilobit/second upload settings from my speed guide (2nd link in my signature)...or lower.
