srotman
i like how I can limit the max number of torrents downloading, because I only like 2 at a time for my bandwith's sake. but what about a limit on the simultaneous uploads?!and NO, the limit for torrents (upload and download) doesn't cut it.example: I have a queue of 5 torrents to download, and i have my max download set at 2 at a time. HOWEVER i also like ONLY 2 uploading at a time as well. theres no way to do that! YES you can say an overall max of 4 torrents at any time, but that only works WHILE there are still 2 downloading and therefore only 2 can upload. but once all the torrents have finished downloading and are now seeding, the max overall torrents is still 4 and therefore after having 2 downloading I now have 4 uploading!how can I limit the traffic to 2 torrents down and another 2 torrents up at any given time?if anyone knows id be greatful, as right now i have to manually stop the seeds except for 2, until theyre done, then initiate the next two, and so on
Venimus
you force only 2 uploads that you wish to stay active, then you set in Seeding Options limit "rate <1%" and set "upload speed when goal reached to 0". When the torrent downloads it will have more than 1% seeding for sure, then it will stop uploading automatically, and only the forced uploads will stay. splintax
Is it just me, or does that sound more than a little leech-like?

chaosblade
Just set Max. Active to the number of downloads + uploads and the number of max. uploads to whats left.Example: If you want to always seed 2 torrents, and always download 2, you would put max active to 4, and max downloading to 2. Switeck
There's also a very similar problem:Once a torrent starts seeding and others start downloading...if there's additional downloads queued but not started, then torrents that were seeding can also become queued as other torrents finish downloading and start seeding.µTorrent doesn't seed the first few torrents till the desired ratio is reached -- it starts new torrents instead. This can ruin someone's ratio on private trackers!
splintax
I really don't see what the big problem is here, is this option really that necessary?splintax, if you're saying what i am trying to do is leech-like, that is not the case.no, I wasn't, I was referring to the workaround posted above, but maybe I misinterpreted it. Kazuaki Shimazaki
i like how I can limit the max number of torrents downloading, because I only like 2 at a time for my bandwith's sake. but what about a limit on the simultaneous uploads?!Shall we start by explaining WHY you want a limit on simultaneous uploads? There are easily visible practical uses for Maximum Total Running and Maximum Downloads within that, but uploading 4 torrents at once, even at a lower rate each, is arguably doing a bigger favor than uploading only 2 at a higher rate.Any workaround we propose has to take into account your true reasons for wanting such a capability, or else something like the second post on this thread might happen.
