hackwashere
hi there,i installed utorrent and got it working. i didnt have any issues with it. but recently i have seen that the utorrent.exe file gets deleted from the program files folder.. this is very confusing to me. i checked the windows logs but it doesnt report anything.has this happened to anyone else. i had just formatted my laptop so there should be any virus. i have macfee installed.please let me know could be the reason. i replaced the exe again in the program files and everything works as normal again.very strange. does anyone know what i need to do to get to the bottom of this problem.cheers
moogly
If the exe has been deleted, it can be your antivirus that has placed utorrent.exe into quarantine.Check logs/reports of your antivirus.
hackwashere
strangely, i just virus scanned the utorrent.exe file but mcafee didnt delete it. and there is no other anti-virus on my machine.is it normal that utorrent.exe is treated like a virus or malware threat by anti-virus softwares?? moogly
No, it's not normal. uT is 200% safe, especially if you have downloaded the exe from the official uTorrent website. Some AV softwares are overparanoid sometimes.
