keeping original with the torrent file

Once I make the file in to a torrent file do I

Have to have the original file,program,or picture

as long as it remains a torrent file so someone can download it?

You make the .torrent, you upload it onto trackers/indexers then you seed it.

When the number of seeders (like 7 or 10 or more) is enough, you can stop seeding it and delete the .torrent and/or associated data. Of course you can seed it during a long time, it's your choice

So the other seeds will seed for next leechers.
