sharkbait88 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 does anyone know how to convert a microsoft visual style file into a .theme file so i can use as a theme? if not, does anyone know how to manually input it into themes?because i found this really nice theme pack, with iicons and everything, but when i unzipped the file, it was just a bunch of folder with .bmp and icons etc, but no theme set up etc. ive been looking around for days now, can someone help me out? ScubaSteve Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 a theme file is simply a config file of all the settings you have used to create that theme. you can open theme files with a simple text editor such as notepad. if u wish to make a theme set windows up how u like with all ur colours/sounds/style then do what ghost said. chaosblade Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 You cant 'convert' an .msstyle to a .theme, a theme is just a file telling windows "Ok, he loaded this visual style, with these icons, and this wallpaper".Look into a uxtheme patch if you wanna load visual styles.
