xero135 Posted July 10, 2009 Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 When i start utorrent the torrents i have loaded dont start to download/upload. its probally not the settings i have, because 2 days ago it worked perfectly! the issue is probally that i cant connect to the trackers, but my net is working so i dont know where the problem is!EDIT: i noticed a sign at the bottom of uTorrent that says that the torrents traffic is being limited by a router and that i need to open up a port. could you pls help me to configure the portxero135 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Switeck Posted July 10, 2009 Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 Bad settings in uTorrent can work ok on over-seeded torrents, then HORRIBLY on everything else!For your router issues:http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htmIf it's a software firewall blocking, try these:1. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=21682. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=7862TekSavvy connects through Bell ADSL in Canada, which disrupts/throttles BitTorrent traffic...so you'll probably need more conservative settings (2nd link in my signature) AND set outgoing encryption to FORCED.
