thegrovsterthang
I just recently started using utorrent, and i'm currently downloading a rather large torrent using another client. i was wondering if there was any way i could switch the incomplete file over to and finish downloading with utorrent. any suggestions? thanks = )

thegrovsterthang
So I read the page on migrating files to utorrent, and I'm still having some issues. When I load the .torrent file into utorrent, the guide said the % would go up as utorrent checked the file, but it seems like its not doing any checking and just starting the download all over again instead of recognizing the already downloaded files. Any more suggestions? Thanks so much = )
DreadWingKnight
Point uTorrent at the correct folder layer for your partially downloaded files.
thegrovsterthang
Ok, the previous client i was using is bitlord. Bitlord says that the file is 29.7% done, but when i try loading it in utorrent, no matter what layer of the file I select, it only says its .2% done. I'm really trying to figure this out, but not having much success. = /
DreadWingKnight
Did you remove the extra extensions from the filenames that bitlord tacked on?
thegrovsterthang
It's supposed to be .bc! , right? It already has that extension.
DreadWingKnight
REMOVE that exension.
thegrovsterthang
Ok, so I made the little batch file with note pad and dragged it into and ran it in every single subfolder within the torrent and the reopened it in utorrent and it still only says .2%. If I go into advanced-set download location, i can go into all the individual folders and it'll recognize that they take up a certain amount of space on the hard drive, but utorrent itself isn't recognizing them. DreadWingKnight
Did you force a re-check after renaming the files?
thegrovsterthang
Yes, i tried that and still the same results.>>Ok, I'm thinking maybe i made the batch file wrong, what exactly does "(replace "bc!" with which ever file extension you need to remove)" mean, do i change the command to !ut instead?
