DHT, PEX & Local Peer Discovery in regard to private trackers

Hi,

I'm part of a private tracker which says that DHT, PEX and Local Peer Discovery must be disabled in the client. I'm aware that uTorrent automatically disables all three of these if the torrent is marked as private. I told one of the staff this and they claim that uTorrent doesn't always disable them properly even if the torrent is marked as private. My problem is that I also use a lot of public trackers where DHT, PEX and Local Peer Discovery are often required when there are very few people in the swarm. The private tracker claims that it can detect if DHT, PEX and Local Peer Discovery are enabled in uTorrent and will ban users. I would like to know if indeed uTorrent doesn't always disable DHT, PEX and Local Peer Discovery properly, preferably from one of the staff here. I would also like to know if it is really possible for private trackers to detect if DHT, PEX and Local Peer Discovery are enabled in my client.

Thanks,

Those features will not be enabled for the specific torrents that are private flagged.

They MIGHT be able to detect if DHT is enabled, but if they attempt to identify if there is a DHT leak of the torrent, they will fail.

PEX requires them to run a client on all torrents monitoring for the traffic.

Local peer discovery can't be detected outside of your own network.
