Switeck
I don't know how fast your line is, down and up.Or what uTorrent settings you're trying and failing with.Or how awful a torrent you're trying to get. (If you're not connected to any seeds and all the peers have about as much as you do, it stinks.)
tm90
thanks switeck for your reply.i tried to do some of d above four listed steps bt some how wasnt able to.i am presently using d 1.8.0.11813 version of utorrentand have put "[READ ANNOUNCEMENT!]"; size 701 mb; seeds 14(348); peers 6(233);and about the settings i am using:-in options>preferences>general i have all 3 check boxes under when downloading checked, and check association on startup checked too, rest all are unchecked.in options>preferences>UIsettings under display setting first four options are checked under system tray all option are checked except "single click on tray item to open" under adding torrents first option is unchecked under actions for double click for seeding- open folder and for downloading- opne download barin options>preferences>directories nothin is checkedin options>preferences>connection port used for incoming connection is 50804 "random port each start" option is unchecked wid all other 3 options unchecked no proxy server settings are madein options>preferences>bandwidth under global upload rate, max upload rate is assigned 5 kBps under global download limiting its assigned 0 under no. of connections, global max no. of connections is 60, max. no. of connected peers per torrent is 20, and no. of uplaod slots per torrent is 5; also the use additional upload slots if upload speed <90% is checkedin options>preferences>bittorrent under "basic bittorrent feartures" first 5 options are checked and the sixth one "limit local peer bandwidth is unchecked" ip/host name to report to tracker is left blank under protocol encryption d drop down menu is selected for enabled and allow incoming legacy option is checked.in options>preferences>queuing under queue settings the values are set to 10 and 2 resp. under seed while option ratio is <= 150 % or seeding time <= (min) 0; and the following checkbox unchecked.in options>preferences>scheduler no changesin options>preferences>web UI no changes made.and in options>preferences>advanced>disk cache options checked are:- reduce memory usage when cache is not needed enable caches of disk writes write out untouched blocks every two minutes write finished pieces immediately enable caching of disk reads turn off read caching if uplaod speed is slow remove old blocks from the cache disable windows cachimg of disk writes.hope this info helps yuo to figure the problem out.and about my broadband connection_its bsnl 750 home unlimited plan (data one)you can know abt it by goin on the link of http://www.bsnl.comor search it on google.plz help me out, or provide me an alternativethanks.regards
Switeck
I didn't see anything about ISPs in your link. "under global upload rate, max upload rate is assigned 5 kBps""max. no. of connected peers per torrent is 20, and no. of uplaod slots per torrent is 5; also the use additional upload slots if upload speed <90% is checked"So you're uploading at 5 KiloBYTES/sec spread across however many torrents you have running AND splitting that again 5 times (5 upload slots) per torrent. Yet you're managing to download at >20 KiloBYTES/sec! Wow, you win. ...And totally didn't follow my speed guide.

Switeck
I still don't know how fast your line is, down and up. You have to do online speed tests...WHILE everything else is stopped. Your ISP may claim you're getting more than you actually are...

Switeck
Those results look like you did some of the tests with uTorrent still downloading/uploading torrents. What's the speed of the line SUPPOSED to be according to your ISP?

Switeck
Best I can tell, you only have a 256 kilobit/sec up connection...at least for international traffic. So, 256 kilobit/sec upload setting from 2nd link in my signature...though you can set download torrents to 2 at once if you want.
