BIgBeatz
my main computer, still haven't tried the laptop yet, I want to try and keep it as clean as possible to be honest
Switeck
Disabling any software firewall besides Windows Firewall usually doesn't prevent it from blocking incoming traffic...or worse. Try removing ALL uTorrent entries in your firewall and letting the firewall redetect uTorrent. You may need a reboot to get full effect out of it. BIgBeatz
Ok that sounds like a good idea thanks mate, i'll try that out and let you know how it goes later on . Thanks again for your help
Switeck
This might help too!:http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=292343#p292343(from firewall configuration message thread at: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=7862 )Worst case, you may need to uninstall/remove Comodo entirely and try with just Windows Firewall enabled. BIgBeatz
Hi buddy, just posted a new thread and that arrogant, unhelpful d*ck dreadknight who just comes here for a moderator power trip blocked/deleted the post. I have found out that when I do a speedtest it says "Warning: You connection shows signs of ISP upload compression"So can I get around/solve this, without changing ISP?Thanks
DreadWingKnight
You think I'm arrogant when YOU were the one that ignored the rules?Seriously. And upload compression from the ISP isn't the cause of your problem. There's something else blocking.
BIgBeatz
Well please could you help rather than blocking a post which is different from the original. I wanted some different perspectives and viewpoints on the situation.. What do you think it could be then blocking it..?
DreadWingKnight
http://www.neilturner.me.uk/2005/11/17/the_plusnet_experience.htmlhttp://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=751731http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?topic=77971.msg630099Looks like plusnet is outright blocking the torrent activity. The upload compression is not related to it.
BIgBeatz
It doesnt make sense how I can upload to some websites, but not private trackers..is there anything you can suggest? Like settings or anything?
DreadWingKnight
Oh, you have no problems with public sites?http://azureuswiki.com/index.php/User:The8472/Private_trackers
BIgBeatz
That article just slates private trackers. It doesn't help my issue, so please could you give me some clear steps on how to fix the problem or at least open that thread I made again as I really need help with this. Let me know , thanks
DreadWingKnight
If the problem you're having is uploading on private trackers, there's NOTHING we can do except make sure your client is reachable. The trackers themselves cause chronic overseeding to the point that you CAN'T upload. BIgBeatz
I can't even upload my own torrents to them so its not due to chronic overseeding
DreadWingKnight
Then it's a problem with the tracker if you have no problem uploading on public torrents.
BIgBeatz
No it isn't a problem with the trackers. I have 4 private torrent trackers and none of them work. On public torrents I can only seed a very small fraction, and it uploads very very slowly regardless of how many people are downloading it at the time. I believe that for some reason people cannot "see" and connect to my computer. Please help me out here..As I said in the new post I made, when I did the speed test it said something about ISP upload compression.
DreadWingKnight
Uploading to websites with a webbrowser is a MASSIVELY different system from uploading with torrents.Your ISP is KNOWN and CONFIRMED to be hostile to ALL peer to peer traffic, including torrents.CHANGING ISPs is your ONLY option for troubleshooting at this point.
