telstat1 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 I scrupulously followed the connection instructions, including dedicating a single port for Utorrent and changing my setup to a static IP address. But several different port forwarding checks consistently report: no open port. So then I used software (Simple Port Forwarding) to do the same thing. Ditto: failed all the checks. Sometimes my light goes from yellow to green, but not usually and not consistently. Any ideas about what's going wrong? I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus, a 2wire ADSL modem and my ISP is Telus. Thanks! Switeck Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Posted July 22, 2009 Your antivirus may be intermittently blocking uTorrent.Torrents with few peers/seeds on them can "trick" uTorrent into thinking it's firewalled because it's no longer getting new incoming connections...because everything is already connected!
