Heed help to re-seed again

Recommended Posts

Recently I rebuild my machine from scratch and also updated with new HD's.

I also re-organize all my stuff and I found that I have 1.4TB for share with the community and I put it in one single new HD.

When I setup uTorrent in "Directories" and point to the new location on my new HD, nothing is seeding anymore. Simply the application doesn't seem to see the files anymore. Please note that I don't have any .torrents files saved.

The uTorrent help doesn't give me much help.

There is out there any procedure to make the application to seed again my files?

Thanks a lot

.torrent files are saved by default in folder %appdata%\utorrent.

You have to relocate each torrent job (right clik) or reload it (http://www.utorrent.com/documentation/migrate)

A better way is to use freeware BEncode Editor (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=31306). Edit file resume.dat and use ability 'find/replace' to change the path or drive letter of torrents you moved. Save it.

1/ Keep one copy of file resume.dat before editing it.

2/ Changing the directory for downloads in Preferences > Directories will work only for new torrents loaded into uT.
