omegamuff1n Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 The port forward checker tells me the port I'm using is still not forwarded, even though I did so like an hour ago. I did everything right, windows firewall is off, Antivir guard is off, and I don't think there's any other kind of firewall I could even turn off. I have XP SP3 and a Linksys WRT310N router. What should I do? I'm getting between 40-60kbps in utorrent and as much upload speed as I allow it (which is currently set to about 92 for my connection per the speed guide)other relevant settings I've put on might be, UPnP and NAT-PMP are off, DHT is on, and protocol encryption is enabled. Switeck Posted July 31, 2009 Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 Many routers will NOT port forward to a static LAN ip inside their DHCP dynamic LAN ip range. Either moving the static LAN ip OR shrinking/moving the DHCP dynamic LAN ip range should solve that...though the router may need to reboot (off then back on) after that.If that doesn't help, try testing with Antivir completely uninstalled. omegamuff1n Posted July 31, 2009 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2009 hm, thanks, I tried that, and now my static ip is 192.168.1.69, and in my router it says the DHCP range is from 100.149, so 69 should work fine. I rebooted both the modem and the router, I'm pretty sure my static ip settings are set right (I had to do some work to find comcast's DNS addresses but after that I was fine and could connect to the internet again), what else could I be doing wrong?!
