anewthetarune
For some strange reason uTorrent has decided to start ignoring my settings in the queue section. I'm running 1.8.3 on Vista/64 with my queue settings at max torrents=8 and max downloads=4. I do not have the 'if < 90% bandwidth etc..' option selected. Everything starts out fine, with a load of seeds queued up, I get 4 downloads going and 4 seeds running, but when I open uTorrent back up maybe 5 minutes later every torrent is downloading and uploading. This is getting really frustrating. This was never a problem before, it just started. The only thing I can think of is that I performed an in-place upgrade on Vista because msinfo32.exe became corrupted during an update which prevented other updates from installing. Should I just reinstall uTorrent? If I reinstall uTorrent will it be able to pick my torrents back up where they left if I still have the .torrent files and associated content in my download directory? DreadWingKnight
What sort of speeds are you getting on your main 4 torrents when this happens?
anewthetarune
Ahhh, I get it now. My idea of 'active' and uTorrent's idea of 'active' are a bit different. I'm downloading and seeding several torrents with very few seeds and peers and only a couple are downloading or uploading at any given time, so it's starting the other torrents. Thanks, sorry for the stupid question.
Switeck
And there's advanced settings to get uTorrent to ignore/NOT ignore slow torrents.
