Bluedawg
I looked for another post on this but could not find one, so I apologize in advance if this topic is covered elsewhere. For several reasons, I decided to make the switch to uTorrent from Azureus. Everything is going great except for one issue: My completed torrents that I've moved over show as "seeding" in the status bar, yet nothing is uploading. Should I mark all of these types as "initial seeding"? That seems counter to what I've read about initial seeding (That it's for newly created torrents) but I very much need those seeds to upload properly in order to get/keep my ratios in order. Any help is sincerely appreciated.
DreadWingKnight
Are there any downloaders for these torrents? Is your client configured properly to accept incoming connections?
Switeck
Are you on a hostile ISP that's made news about blocking BitTorrent seeding in the past?
Bluedawg
Like I said, all other uploads, downloads, and seedings are working fine, so the issue can't be related to the settings or any hostile IP. It's ONLY the COMPLETED downloaded torrents that are the problem.
DreadWingKnight
What is the status for the offending torrents?
Bluedawg
Let me re-phrase: The issue can't be related to settings... unless there's some setting that I can't see in uTorrent that effects the seeding of transferred-in completed torrents.Status for all is "green" and "seeding", but the "up speed" is nada and the "upload" is zero.Oh, and I'm on Comcast, but I have an upgraded Business account and they don't block anything with that type of account. Bluedawg
Well, I thought I had a decent working knowledge of torrents but I guess not because you've totally lost me with the question about "downloaders". What does that term mean exactly?
Switeck
Connected peers actively trying to download from you on those torrents.
