pagefan61
I was doing fine for the first month other than my brutually slow upload courtesy of Shaw cable's throttling efforts.I use 6.2 through Windows home basic and it geenrally worked fineFor the past few days i have a new problem.I try to select a file and once my tracker lists it the arrow goes red and the error message reads:"Downstream bandwith too narrow for yet another leeching peer on this account.I have tried the save fileseverla hours apart, even ones with over 100 seeders available. My upload spped is at 200kbs never goes above 55 thanks to Shaw I assume.my download is unlimited -- never been a problem beforeMy tracker limit is twenty and download limit is 4 before queuning begins.I this bandwith issue mine? If so how do I fix it ?If not why is this only occurring now ? I used to jump on files with only one seeder and be one of the first 10 to access the file.help. Apologies if my earlier attempt to post this is being repeated.
DreadWingKnight
Are you trying to run torrents all from one site to get this error? If so, set your preferences - queueing to 1 downloading, 2 active AT MOST.
pagefan61
Went to queuing. changed max downloads to 2I only use 1 site thus far for all my stuff ( quite a bit in the first month) except 1 file in the last month from another site.So yes all of the torrent I am choosing (were the problem arises) are from one site.I fear I have really messed up my setting somehow when trying to get my upload speed increased .So I choose a file with over 100 seeders. lots of leechers also and the same error came up almost instantly.I appreciated your quick reply. I am a real techno peasant, so I am totally at a loss after it worked fine for the first month.I was downloading 4 files at a time (totally addicted) no longer it seems.Advice guidance please. DreadWingKnight
More torrents at once is NOT better. 2 active tasks, 1 seeding and 1 downloading will likely be better for you unless you get away from whatever private tracker you are on/
pagefan61
HmmI have been on Dime for over a month as I like it and my brother got me onto it.They allow 10 active uploads at one time sometimes more. (16) presently are greenAt he moment I have 19 in my bit torrent6.2 tracker.2 inactive which I can delte from the tracker if that would help.1 active from another siteI leave my computer on a lot to keep seeding my active files. Plus to get my ratio up.If you are saying to go to only 1 active seed file and 1 download at a time. That will be very frustrating. I can wait I guess for each download to complete rather than 2-3 sometimes.I hear you the "bandwith too narrow "is my problem? How did I cause that, is there another fix? Thanks for your advice
DreadWingKnight
That is an error coming from their site, not from uTorrent.Ask them exactly what it means.
