dezzo
I use uTorrent on my laptop, which is sometimes connected to the ethernet cable, while other times it is connected via wireless. The problem is that when I forward the port in my router, I can only forward it to one of the two IP addresses that the laptop may be using. So, if I forward the port to the wireless IP, then there will be no forwarding in effect when I've got the system connected to ethernet. The router does not like UPnP so I can't use that option. (which I think would solve the problem)Anyone have any ideas how I can get this set up so that the port uTorrent is using is forwarded correctly, regardless of which of the two network connections the laptop is using?I'll be getting a new router later this year, in which case I can likely start using UPnP. I'm just waiting for routers with the final version of Wireless N to be released before investing in the hardware.
lbdude
You have to wait until 2012 to see IEEE Std 802.11ac and ad !http://grouper.ieee.org/groups/802/11/Reports/802.11_Timelines.htmThey have to bring out new stuff every 6 month, and telling you,now we have a newer, bigger, faster, better system - its the only way, how they can reach into your pocket !Nice would be this one:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11uIf I understand this correctly, in 2010 -your cellphone uses your internet router.(I might be wrong)(I know, it does not help you a bit with your problem) LOL
