shmulikgazit
Hi,In the last month I've been having this strange phenomena:Several main trackers show that many seeds/peers are active, but when the torrent gets to utorrent, I see something like: seeds 1(1) peers 0(0).If I "stop" the torrent, the numbers will increase to something like 10-50 (scrape OK), but as soon as I resume downloading, the number will drop to 0-1.This is not consistent - some downloads from the same tracker will get bigger numbers and manage to download, but it is very difficult to do it with a single IP seeder (while there are many more published). Is there anything in a log file that will help understand this?I'm at home, behind NAT (wire link to Dlink DIR-655 N Router) and VIPRE AV (I shut it down - it's not the AV), and PeerGuardian 2 (shut it down too - no go).I'm with the latest stable version of 1.8.3.Any help is appreciated,Thanks,/Shmulik. shmulikgazit
This torrent downloads nicely at about 100KB/sec, connected to 17/363 seeds and 3/103 peers, but what did we check here?I can get from the same tracker files that will connect to one seed, and files that will connect to 20, and both have thousands of published seeds/peers.I couldn't find a good resource on the net that will even tell me if the answer coming back from the tracker holds any information that will help me understand this. Many thanks,/Shmulik. DreadWingKnight
It's probably lag in the tracker that's causing the issue.
shmulikgazit
I don't believe that this is the cause since it's been on-going for the past month, for the same torrents, while others on the same tracker have no problem. However, can we check your hypothesis? I'm a support pro and can record stuff with sniffers, etc. If it's only inspecting what's coming back from the tracker, I'll appreciate a pointer on where to look exactly. Thanks for taking the time. Switeck
Check the peer ip list to see if only the seed's ip is there.Right-click in PEERS window, copy peer list, paste into notpad/wordpad.
