blazemore
The accuracy of ETA could be greatly improved by using the value from Average Download Speed, rather than just Download speed. For larger downloads especially, this would be very useful.I understand this may not be ideal for torrents which vary greatly in their speeds, so maybe a sample of the last 30 seconds could be used instead of overall average. DreadWingKnight
It's already done based on a sliding average based on the past few seconds worth of download speed, not the immediately shown download speed.
blazemore
Is there any way to increase the number of seconds?
DreadWingKnight
Not currently. And there are several sliding averages in play. The primary one, based on your download speed.A secondary one, based on availability and the estimated speed of other peers. The current VISIBLE scale of the window is approximately 15-30 seconds.Beyond that, the math involved is VERY complex, and accounts for a LOT of factors to give a more accurate ETA than just a plain sliding average.
