malecomrade Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hi,I am using the 1.4 version, help I need is that when ever I download from utorrent v1.4 or any other version I get equal speed for download and upload by this I mean that 30kb for download and 30kb for upload, now if I change upload or download speed the other doesn't get affected by this I mean if I stop download I must be seeding at 60kb or if i stop uploading I must be downloading at 60kb but this doesn't happen. But all I am able to do is download and upload at the same time at 30kb each.So is there any way to utilize whole speed for one single operation, download or upload. If there is please help.I am using broadband Internet connection and I don't know at what speed.Moved ~ Sanchez
The Mighty Buzzard Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Broadband connections don't usually work like that. Most of them are full duplex, which means your upload and download pipes are effectively seperate.
Firon Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 You have to cap your upload speed to 75-80% of your maximum.Use beta 418 and use the Speed Guide.
malecomrade Posted February 8, 2006 Author Report Posted February 8, 2006 i tried that and now i am using the lastest v1.4.1 build 419.i caped my upload speed as told and tried this on different upload speed which is 3,5,7,11,15,17,21,15,27 and the max 30. but all the time download speed dont change and it just stays 30kb/sec.one more thing i noticed that even with flashget the download speed stays between 30-35kb/sec it doesnt reach 60 so what does this mean. what type of connection i have? Will i ever be able to download at 50-60kb/sec.please help.
Free Will Posted February 10, 2006 Report Posted February 10, 2006 Yes this is a major problem. If i dl @ 50kB/s, i can upload @ 50-70kB/s, dl:30kB/s ul:30-40kB/s, dl:10kB/s ul:10kB/s, @ 5kB/s downloadspeed, im not uploading at all. What i want is that my upload stays UNAFFECTED by my downloadspeed. So, even if im downloading only @ 5kB/s, my up would be that 60+kB/s.
